Productive in remote work environments and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop content in many fields, including but not limited to technology, medical, aviation, and military. Moving forward, I will stop writing in the 3rd person as 1st person is more natural, but I felt it didn’t work above. Also, please note I bought both agileaddie.com and addieagile.com as the two words ADDIE and Agile represent a lot of my methodology and background, and I was pretty amazed they were available! Let me know if you want to buy them! Last thing, I write elearning this way, same as email, but realize it is often written as eLearning or e-learning, and I am happy to adjust based on the client’s preference.
I am in the process of building an elearning course for volunteers at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center. As this project is still in progress, it is currently a rapid prototype in Articulate Rise as I work with SMEs to accumulate content and gain an understanding of the field.
This sample is a part of a gamified Project Management Professional (PMP) course I built for The Crowd Training using Articulate Storyline.
I used old instructor-led training material and SMEs to build out this course in Adobe Captivate. I did this screen recording and slightly edited the video to share it with you. It is a bit outdated. As I look at this today, I feel it breaks some of Mayer’s 12 Principles of Multimedia, including the Coherence Principal, as some images are not important. The Personalization Principal, as the script may just put you to sleep, and other principles as well, such as the Redundancy and Modality Principals.
I used this video as part of an interactive course I designed for Flight Attendants. For this course, I worked as a project coordinator and designer. I wrote the script for this video and found a company in Hollywood for filming. The project stayed within budget and on schedule, and the client, Cathay Air, was thrilled with the final product.
Here is a video I wrote the screenplay for and had it filmed for French maritime sailors in training. For this course, I was the project coordinator and instructional designer. All stakeholders were delighted with the results.
The following is a video of me teaching aviation English at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan. Students were prepping to take the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) exam and attended both instructor-led training (ILT) and took part in computer-based training (CBT) classes. I led all the courses from the start through the final exam. As part of this process, I was certified as an ICAO language examiner.
In my free time, I take videos in nature. I then edit them, do voiceover, and share them on YouTube. Most of the videos I make today are for guided meditation. I currently have around 400 subscribers and 2,000 watched hours. If the channel ever gets monetized, I will donate 10% of all profits to Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center.
